The UK’s housing stock is one of the biggest sources of carbon emissions but it's also one of our greatest opportunities. Meeting our decarbonisation goals means upgrading millions of existing homes and ensuring every new build is designed to be climate-ready. This panel will explore how we can decarbonise housing through large-scale retrofits like insulation and heat pumps, while also embedding low-carbon technologies and materials into new developments.

You'll hear from policymakers, developers and finance leaders about the financial and practical challenges of delivering this transformation at scale. The session will highlight real-world case studies from retrofit programmes and new-build projects, showing how communities and industry can collaborate to make housing affordable, resilient and ready for a low carbon future.
