Happiness: The most important but least understood prerequisite for great leadership
In this session, Rajeev Peshawaria will explain the vital role of personal happiness in great leadership. He argues that unhappy people can never be good leaders; happiness is less about the absence of problems to worry about and more about having a values-based life purpose; and that self-sacrifice is an overrated and unnatural concept in leadership. He also outlines three stages of emotional development, stressing that only those who reach independence – the highest stage – can achieve lasting happiness and create a powerful positive legacy.
