We are an interdisciplinary research hub at Sheffield Hallam University tackling local, national and global food system challenges. We innovate in state-of-the-art facilities and connect our community of collaborators to transform the food system. Based in Sheffield's Innovation District, our Centre includes pilot-scale production facilities, laboratories, and workshops powered and controlled by a fully equipped, industry-standard plant room. We connect engineering, materials, biochemistry, bio-processing and digital control with food science and technology, social science, and art and design to create sustainable innovations.
