Sector: Net-Zero Business

Earlier this year, the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA – soon to be known as The Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals (ISEP) and Carbon Accounting Alliance (CAA) announced a partnership to develop a specialist register for carbon accountants that will soon be formally launched. This will provide a clear, credible way for individual professionals to demonstrate their qualifications and experience in carbon accounting to clients, regulatory bodies and voluntary reporting schemes. In this session speakers from IEMA and CAA will share the latest insight and timelines for the launch of the Professional Register, the levels of qualification available, and the criteria to achieve them that were subject to public consultation in March/April this year. Come along to learn about the opportunity to gain insights on how the Register will provide a defined career pathway, offering opportunities for growth and recognition as the demand for skilled carbon accountants continues to rise.  We will also share the path for training providers to get their courses covering carbon accounting skills accredited against the professional register to enable delegates to progress towards professional registration.
