Stephen Beng

Stephen Beng spearheads sustainable investing strategy for Phillip Capital Management. He leads development and deployment of the ESG integrated investment framework for both the firm and group. He is also responsible for ESG research and risk management processes that affirm Phillip’s stewardship commitments and assert positive planetary outcomes from the flow of its funds. Prior to the appointment, Stephen championed nature conservation, environmental sustainability and social justice in business, industry, military and civil society over the last 20 years. He held leadership roles in several financial services firms with experience as relationship manager, product developer and communicator. Concurrently, he chairs the Friends of Marine Park Community - a public-private-people partnership that promotes stewardship of Singapore’s natural blue spaces through multi-sectoral stakeholder contributions in research, conservation and education.
