Food Waste Consultant, Anthesis
Matt Unerman is a Food Waste Consultant for Anthesis, involving working on understanding, measuring, and reducing food waste for organisations ranging from farmers, retailers, to international governmental organisations. Matt is currently a co-chair of a newly formed B-Corporation Food Waste Working Group, and prior to this has worked in the retail sustainability space, helping to drive the waste and recycling agenda at Costa Coffee. Matt studied Anthropology at Durham University, which gives him insight into the human drivers of sustainability, and whilst studying there Matt created a food waste-reduction initiative called Embrace the Waste. Matt is a TEDx speaker, and has presented on a range of sustainability forums, as well as being recognised as a ‘Sustainability Champion’ by the EAUC.
