Emily is a climate and gender justice campaigner at SHE Changes Climate and a young advisor to a number of environmental organisations. She is currently one of 12 global youth advisors selected for the Global Center on Adaptation’s inaugural Youth Advisory Board, working to accelerate youth engagement around the UNFCCC’s Global Goal on Adaptation. She also represents the panel at the United Nations Population Fund’s Joint Youth Working Group on Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), gender, and climate change adaptation. In November 2021, she represented the Future Leaders Network at COP26.
Through her roles, Emily has built knowledge and passion for equitable and inclusive engagement in global decision-making, mobilising women and youth to take a seat at the table. She is driven to ensure the UN Sustainable Development Goals are tackled with interlinked solutions, particularly addressing the silos between SDG 5: gender equality and SDG 13: climate action. Emily is currently completing her master’s degree in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge.
