Christian Inglis
Christian leads the Innovate UK urban systems programme within their Net Zero domain, currently with a responsibility for delivery of £65M of innovation funding around net zero living and green finance, as well as programmes on clean air, electric vehicle infrastructure and international opportunities.
Christian has been at Innovate UK since 2007 joining to develop and deliver the nanoscale technologies and advanced materials strategies utilising his materials science background.
In 2012 Christian moved into the energy team to catalyse and lead its energy systems initial activities, which has now evolved into the £104M Prospering from the Energy Revolution programme.
Christian then moved into a new role focussing on growth and scale in the clean growth space in December 2016 developing pilots and innovation funding options for the sector, as well activities including investment showcases, entrepreneur missions, and moved into his current role in January 2020,
His industry background focusses around research and business development with Rio Tinto Minerals predominantly in the materials sector.
Christian holds a BEng in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Surrey before he moved directly into industry with experience of working at Johnson Matthey as part of his studies
